Medical Secretary

Parkbury House Surgery is looking for a Medical Secretary to provide a broad range of secretarial functions for all clinicians to support the business needs of Parkbury House Surgery at both the main and branch surgeries.

Responsible for ensuring that all referrals made from the practice by secretaries or clinicians are appropriate and follow the correct pathway. Accurate and efficient audio typing doctors’ dictations/letters by using a digital dictation system and manage draft referral forms in DXS.

We have 21,000 patients and eight partners who lead a team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists and first contact physiotherapists. We have a supportive management and admin team. We also have a social prescriber and a team of volunteer social prescribers who support our clinical team and our patients. Parkbury House Surgery is a training practice.

Care Coordinator (Alban Healthcare PCN)

Parkbury House Surgery is looking for a Care Coordinator to work 20 hours a week. This role is part of our Primary Care Network (PCN), established to enhance patient services and improve our local patient health. There is a wide socio-economic and demographic served within this area which will provide an interesting and varied case mix. You will be joining an enthusiastic team of clinicians and administrators. You will be well supported with on-going professional development (training support, CPD and peer support). The role will contribute to the improving quality of care of our patients across the network of practices.

Main duties of the job

The role involves working very closely with the practices and the multidisciplinary team (MDT) within the PCN. The role is pivotal in ensuring all patients receive the best possible care and service. The Care Coordinator’s role will support the clinical directors in coordinating all key activity including access to services, advice, and information, and ensuring health and care planning is timely, efficient, and patient-centered. The role will include supporting digital initiatives and includes responsibilities for the co-ordination of the patients journey through primary care.

Practice Nurse

Parkbury House Surgery is recruiting a Practice Nurse who is competent in patient management.

Our nursing team is multi-skilled and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team both within the surgery and also look after our four nursing homes and our housebound patients.

Receptionist / Call Handler

Parkbury House Surgery is currently looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Receptionist/ Call Handler to join our busy & friendly Reception team. General Practice is changing and so is the role of the Receptionist. We are looking for someone enthusiastic with the ability to adapt and grow.

Full and part time hours available and will require an 08:30 start and/or 19:00 end. There is an expectation that you will be able to work at least one Saturday morning a month.
