Sustainability at Parkbury House Surgery

Parkbury House Surgery recognises that the climate emergency is a health emergency, and therefore is taking steps to reduce its environmental impact and embed sustainable behaviours within the practice culture.

Green Impact Initiative

With the help of the ‘Green Impact Initiative‘, Parkbury House Surgery has been actively identifying areas of improvement in sustainability.

Having achieved Bronze Level in 2023, we are now increasing our efforts in order to reach Silver Level in 2024.

We are committed to continuing our journey towards sustainability and welcome input and engagement from our patients and staff.

Latest ‘Green’ efforts:

  • Development of a ‘Green Action Plan’ to guide our sustainability initiatives
  • Tree planting at the Sandridge site, increasing the biodiversity of the site and enabling carbon capture
  • Investigation into building fabric improvements to enhance energy efficiency and reduce our carbon footprint
  • ‘Sustainability’ as a regular feature at practice meetings, ensuring ongoing discussion and action
